On August 12, 2024 Clay Township’s Board of Supervisors adopted an Ordinance regulating Short Term Rentals within the Township.

Under the new Ordinance Short Term Rentals are permitted with the following approval, in addition to being able to meet all conditions outlined in the Ordinance, in the Agricultural and Neighborhood Commercial zoning districts a Special Exception is required; in the Forest Rec and Agricultural Transition zoning districts a Conditional Use is required.  Short Term Rentals are not permitted in the Residential and Limited Industrial zoning districts.
