CW Of PA Act 101 Municipal Recycling
In 2024 Clay Township was mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Act 101 Municipal Recycling Requirements to adopt an ordinance that requires each person who owns or occupies a residential, non-residential or multi-family unit in the Township to have waste and recycling services through a private hauler or deliver such materials to a PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) approved facility.
Residents should forward to Clay Township, 870 Durlach Road, Stevens, PA 17578 or via email to info@claytwp.com one of the following verifications for each individual property you own or occupy in the Township. Please be sure the document contains your name and property address.
(A) Most recent bill from your current trash hauler showing that you are currently under contract with them for trash and recycling services.
(B) Receipts from a facility licensed to process residential/commercial/industrial waste and recycling verifying delivery of materials to the facility.
Residential, multi-family and farm properties must recycle glass jars, bottles, aluminum cans, steel cans, plastic jugs, and corrugated cardboard.
Commercial, Institutional and Industrial properties must recycle high-grade office paper, aluminum, and corrugated cardboard.
