In 2024 Clay Township was mandated by the Commonwealth of PA’s Act 101 Municipal Recycling Requirements to adopt an ordinance that requires each person who owns or occupies a residential, non-residential or multi-family unit in the Township to have waste and recycling services through a private hauler or deliver such materials to a PA DEP approved facility.
